My new favorite blog, which doesn’t update at nearly the speed I desperately need it to, is I Blame The Patriarchy. Ms. Twisty is a foodie, Texan, puck hater, and describes herself as pompous and effete, credentials that match my bloggery standards.

Lauren, thank you for the lovely compliment. My head, which, on accounta two other compliments I unexpectedly got today, was already pushing the boundaries of seemliness as regards hat size, has just swelled another notch. Of course, I’ll never live up to the hype. It’s always the way.

Bla, bla, bla.Update: Hmm, after considering the early feedback, it seems most people didn’t have a problem with the meat porn, but had a huge problem with my sweeping generalization of the “vegetarian set.” I honestly didn’t mean to smear anyone who has ever eaten a vegetable.
