Hi. My name is Jen, and I lurk.

I'm a 30-something teacher in Wisconsin. I read this blog nearly every day, mainly because I find such interesting and though-provoking things here. I don't comment though, but don't take it personally!

I'll go back to lurking now...

I found this blog a year or so ago when I went on a search for more feminist blogs (decided that was definitely missing in my daily political reading), and of the 6-10 I started reading, this one has remained as one of the, oh, 3? feminist blogs that I keep up with. Primarily for the news and the humor with which y'all address it :) though I do find the personal writing interesting, too.

I try to read it daily, but as a grad student (studying architecture), I find I suddenly have less free time than when I was working full time. Or maybe I was just a slacker at work :)

Vitals: female, 30, living in Denver. Your pets might eat my pets, as mine are small and covered with feathers.

Lurker. I usually don't have time to compose the responses that I want to so I just don't. I've learned a lot by reading this blog and the ones linked off of it though.

I've commented two or three times, I think, but never introduced myself. (There are other Jeffs around these parts too, I believe, but they aren't me.) Not sure how I discovered this place, but I've been here for several months and love it. I have to get my daily dose of feminism from you, Bitch PhD, and Pandagon to make it through the day. Well, mainly I come here for the vegetable porn.

I'm a 20-year-old college student from Iowa, currently studying in Scotland.

I read this blog often, but have seldom commented here. I'm fairly sure that I found the blog through Alas, a Blog, though I might have found it through Pandagon.

I'm a 30 year old student (Computer Science), living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I should probably mention that I'm male, since it seems like many people are confused by my name (it's a old Nordic version of Christian).

Lurker of sorts, read nearly every post via RSS, don't feel the need to throw in my 2 cents much. But my web site down at the moment, so I've got to perform my daily quota of typing somehow. Like the tenor of your site too, mostly the politics, but the 'human' element is nice, makes you seem more like somebody I know.

Lurker Day: the wrapup

I hit that little "publish" button on my Lurker day post and thought "now wouldn't it be hilarious if no one replies to this?" I needn't have worried. I'm profoundly touched by the wonderful thoughtful things my (former) lurkers have...

Lurker. Don't comment because I don't have anything interesting to add. Like now, for example.

Damn, stay home sick once and miss de-lurker day. Oh well, I'll announce myself anyway.

I'm a 20-year old Tucson native. I work for a small law firm and occasionally wait tables when the mood strikes me. I'm fascinated by politics, sociality and and gender issues. When I'm not yammering over coffee about the latest outrage, I'm hopefully either riding my Harley (hot, young, intelligent, feminist biker chick?) or relaxing on the front porch with the love of my life.

I found this blog the way I found most: randomly wandering around lost on the internet, trying to stave off boredom at work for a few more hours. I have yet to start commenting anywhere, mostly because I know I wouldn't stop, and I don't know how much less actual work I can get away with doing here.
I love the blog, love the sense of humor, the politics, the pics, the commenters and definitely the navel gazing. Thank you for the hours of entertainment (and the now-expired invitation to come out of hiding)!
