Judging from some comments below and elsewhere, I believe the Safari issues with the current template can be handled by upgrading to 10.2 (or is it 10.3?).
I have no access to a Mac, but users running 10.2+ report no problems with this template. Of course, not having a Mac, I have no idea what I’m talking about.

It’s always looked fine for me in the 2+ months I’ve had my iBook (OS X 10.4.1; Safari 2.0.1). Feel free to ask me in the future if you want me to test the site.
I used a Mac recently and I felt like I was playing Atari pong. The system so slow and I hate how the windows open. Mac sucks.
I’m a Mac user, and I’m good. I’m guessing it’s the need to update to Safari 2.0, i.e. OS 10.4.
Mac user, Safari 2.0.1, no problems at all.
I especially like the hot animated belly dancer working her navel down in the corner. I understand that only appears for us Mac people though; so sorry, Mr Hussey.
…never a problem:Mac OS 10.4.2/Safari 2.0.1…
Ah, so I’m just behind the times, maybe?
I’m only running 1.2.3 right now. I just got DSL at home and thought I’d run system update and gotten the latest of everything.
Oh well. DH just got Tiger for his work computer and the licesnse allows for an install at home as well. I’ll upgrade soon and maybe that’ll fix things?
Oh, and my 4yo mac at home runs faster than my pissant Dell with WinXP at work, and I’ve never had a giant crash toss out all my work for the last hour.
It’s going from OS x.2 to OSX.3 if you’re seeing an incredibly ugly muddled mess instead of Lauren’t good design. it’s the operating system version rather than the safari (browser) version that made a difference for me.
In order to get the updated Safari, you need to buy newer versions of OSX, so I just use firefox, which is 90% ok on feministe (though I never have any trouble on any other sites, so I don’t know what the fussiness is on feministe).
Advice to any and all is to use firefox.
oooh – it does look better on a pc. weird
