Wisconsin: Oppose the Sodomite Agenda

At least one of your state senators is — he’s spending his time over at homo-fascism events. Jesus’ General has more:

The same goes for your hiring practices. You don’t allow things like employment discrimination laws to stand in your way. Instead, you ask the kinds of questions every elected official should be asking potential staffmembers–things like “have you been saved by Jesus,” “are you a virgin,” and “are you saving yourself for marriage.” You don’t care what others may think. You want the best man–and a man it always is–for the job.

Wow. I might expect that if he represented a more rural area of WI but Milwaukee? Good luck getting re-elected, buddy.

Riiiiight. You don’t care what others think — until you get an EEO complaint or twelve aimed at your office and then there’s a big media event and they start to look at everything else you’ve been doing. Hey, on second thought, this is great advice for wingnut politicians! We should support it.

As opposed to a rush to out gay people working for Righties simply to say “OMG HE IS NOT FOLLOWING RIGHTIE EEEVIL NEOCON CHRISTIAN RULES.”

But, that’s not the point so much…

Unfortunately, he’s my very own state senator, as ashamed as I am about that. The areas of Milwaukee county that he represents are the (from my perception) socially conservative suburbs of Wauwatosa and West Allis. Along with bits of Milwaukee (like where I live), but not much of it.

It’s not so much that he’s evil, he’s just plain nuts. He’s anti-choice and pro-death penalty, which we haven’t had in WI in generations. He wants to end the automatic gas tax increase in WI, end WI voters’ ability to register at the polls, end the collective bargaining rights of teaching assistants in the UW System – and that’s just in this legislative session!

I worked last time to defeat him, and I will work again to defeat him when he’s up in 2008. Unfortunately, he appeals to the social conservatism of the suburbanites who don’t realize how harmful he is for our fair state.
