This is one astonishing breakthrough. I have agonized for years over the question of whether fish fart.
It’s a quite logical question. So far as I know, all animals exhibit flatulence at some point or another, yet I’ve never actually witnessed the event from a fish. You know–a few little bubbles, then all the other fish swim away.
It’s also an indication I’ve way too much time on my hands.
I suppose the reference to someone “talking out of their ass” will take on a slightly different meaning now.
