I have to see this movie. If you know me, that’s saying something.

If you don’t watch out, them movies’ll grow on ya.
I do know you, and I couldn’t agree more. I’m still reeling, having viewed it last Saturday. This is a movie that everyone should see. It’s a singularity in a cinematic world o’ crap.
Thanks for the pingback. :)
Kyle: So how was that movie last night, dude?
Stan: Aw, dude, you don’t even wanna know!
Cartman: It had a bunch of gay cowboys eating pudding, huh?
Stan: Yeah, pretty much.
i was thinking the same thing
that must be where they got the idea…Somebody saw that episode and thought there was an Oscar waiting in that.
Have you read the novella it’s based on? It’s really, really good.
Haven’t seen the movie yet, as it hasn’t come to the local theatre, but I definitely plan on it.
i’ve been drooling, um, i mean waiting in anticipation of intellectual stimulation, for months…
The story is incredible. I think it might be up now on the New Yorker site, but you know, it will give away plot points! I love Proulx’s work usually anyway, but this particular story made me cry. It’s just breathtaking.
First thing I thought of, too. Why haven’t there been more pudding jokes?
Whoah. I can’t believe I forgot the SouthPark ref.
I guess because my mind still wastes space on early 80′s Hardcore bands with laughable names like: Gay Cowboys In Bondage.
I’ve been waiting to see Heath Ledger in another, more expansive role since his outstanding performance in Monster’s Ball, one of the best movies ever made, in my opinion.
I am dying to see this movie and I’m dragging The Hubby with me!
I bought my ticket for tomorrow night’s opening in Boston a couple days ago on Fandango. I don’t usually get excited about movie openings, but am really, really looking forward to tomorrow night.
I hear Bareback Mounting is up for a few Academy Awards.
You mean the AVN awards, dear.
Two of Australia’s most respected movie reviewers both gave Brokeback Mountain a very rare 5/5, and although they’re both aging hippies they have no problem deriding a film that’s politically correct but poorly made, so I’m going with the idea that this film is indeed as good as all the hype.
They also gave 5/5 to the new George Clooney film on the McCarthy HUAC era Good Night and Good Luck. So I guess that’s my give-the-US-neocons-palpitations filmgoing sorted for the New Year.
I think I might be going up to Chicago next weekend to see it with friends. I’m excited.
Hey, they’re actually bi shepherds, not gay cowboys. Not to split hairs, but I used to work on a cattle ranch, so I know there’s a really big difference. Shepherds are like total weirdos, whereas cowboys are cool. Only partially kidding. That’s kind of the whole premise of the story.
I blog about it here: http://leftbehinds.blogspot.com/2005/12/brokeback-bi-shepherds-not-gay-cowboys.html
