I came to enjoy short stories later; I know that as a teen, it wasn’t a real book if it wasn’t long or part of a series. In my mid-twenties, I gave them another try and found that they’re like everything, some good & some bad. I do enjoy the way I can explore 2 or 3 completely different ideas in an evening’s read with short stories.

The Best Short Stories of (Insert Year), I love the short story form and read as many as I can get my hands on.

Really? I just don't care for it myself; I read David Sedaris' Children Playing before a Statue of Hercules and just couldn't get into it, even though it had pieces from heavy-hitters like Tobias Wolfe.
