Invented, really, in a way. Of course, now I remember few of the details. It also struck me how contemporary she sounded - and I don't know if it was that I just expected a different writing style, or what - but in a lot of ways it didn't sound like a dated piece of writing, which left me wondering how much things have changed (I wasn't reading feminist blogs at the time).
