Ha!
Oh for cute!!
Admit it, you have to rub a kitty’s belly when they lay like that. Unless, of course, they try to attack you.
Heh. This is why I usually use my feet for belly-rubbing. Miss Thing does not put up with it for long, unless she’s in a catnip daze.
Even Matilde thinks that’s cute.
Catzilla in a rare moment of repose!!
I’m embarassed for the catass(!)
Even when I know they’re going to attack me. Ever since Smilodon came to live with us I’ve come back to school each week with numerous light scratches over my hands and forearms. And bite marks, too, in case anybody wonders how he got his name.
But he purrs, which makes everything worthwhile.
Lauren, can you please email one of the bloggers here a few Pablo and Doug pictures for them to post? I miss them! (And you, but, well, you’re kind of here. And they’re not.)
Who’s bigger – Doug or zuzu’s kitty?
Roll count-off!
(Maybe it’s just the angle.) :o)
Here you go, Kyra.
Oh, and Kyra, if you find an older cat blogging post, click on the pic and it will take you to Flikr. There’s a new set of Pablo and Doug pics (I am procrastinating the dissertation proposal, can you tell?). Hooray!
Sorry for the post-after-post – bad form.
I’m in love.
Oh, Doug comes nowhere close.
I have a friend who calls Sugarplum “Mrs. Whiggins.”
Which you’ll get if you’re old enough to have watched the Carol Burnett Show.
Merle comes close.
Merle has managed to get his head to grow sideways. Mrs. Whiggins has not.
Okay, one more of Doug and one more of Merle (bf’s cat) for good measure.
Bonus for crazy eyes.
Okay, what does Mrs. Whiggins weigh? This is a challenge.
I wish I had a picture of my cat (now currently residing in the land of Science Diet and other kitty playmates and Mom and Dad’s house) – last time they took him to the vet I think he topped out at 28 lbs.
Sebastian Aloysious aka Sebboooo, Mamoooo, The Orca, He Who Must Lean on a Wall to Wash His Belly…..
Lauren, thank you for reminding me of poor, neglected Merle! Zuzu, don’t catch the reference, but I did used to watch the Carol Burnett show when I was little. Guess my memories of it have been replaced by other shows. *sigh*
Twenty-eight pounds? Seriously?
Seriously. I have one pic (just found it in my files) but I don’t know how to link it and I don’t have Flikr or anything. Got an e-mail addy I could send it to? It doesn’t show his full glory, but it gives you an idea of his mass…
*bing* you’ve got mail, lauren…enjoy! and if you want to post it go ahead.
I think she was 18 pounds the last time I took her to the vet, which was over a year ago. She seems to have lost a little weight since then, give that I’ve had her on light food and measured portions since the vet lectured me.
Now, if I could get her to *move* a little.
Here’s the deal. Pablo and Doug both weigh sixteen pounds. The difference is that Pablo has that weight on a Maine Coon’s frame (no problem — perfect weight) and Doug is a very petite cat.
You have me beat in Total Cat Weight, since Zuzu only weighs 10 pounds. Sugarplum was actually a skinny, half-starved thing when I got her; she’d been picked up as a stray, and got *very antsy* unless there was food out all the time. I didn’t even notice how big she was getting until someone else mentioned it.
Now I can’t see why she’s not losing weight, since she only gets about half a cup of of light food a day and seems to be over the antsiness. I think she must be getting into the dog food. That one doesn’t eat anything, though she always wants what I’m eating.
