Grr.

So, I ran the whole taking-a-week-off thing by two levels of management here, nobody had a problem with it, I committed to the Habitat people, I bought plane tickets, I made a car reservation.

Aaaaannnd — today my boss asks me not to go away in March because of a deadline that he hadn’t remembered when I asked him for time off.

Hopefully, the people in La. will be okay with me postponing, and damn skippy the firm’s going to pay for any fees I incur by changing my flight. At least this gives me additional time to break in my boots and get an actual valid driver’s license.

Can’t bossman get somebody else to cover? I mean, sheesh, he approved the vacation. What would he do if (god forbid) you came down with Hep A and couldn’t meet the deadline?

Don’t forget to make him reimburse you for any fees incurred by changing the dates on your rental car, if any!!!
