I don’t feel so old and out of it anymore…I actually recognize several of the artists in this list. Usually, I look at a lot of these lists that people post and I’m lucky if I’ve heard of any of the artists. So thank you, Jill, for making a middle-aged guy happy! :)
ANY list that has Coltrane/Monk, Nick Drake, and Death Cab on it has to be great.
THE HARRISON YOU AIN’T SO OLD EDITION….
Your Feet’s Too Big—Fats Waller
The Leaving of Liverpool—The Clancy Brothers
Those Were the Days—Minnie Tee
The Lady Is a Tramp—Frank Sinatra
A Fire I Can’t Put Out—George Strait
Only the Lonely (Know the Way I Feel)—Roy Orbison
21st Century Schizoid Man—King Crimson
Blue Skies—Rod Stewart
Hush—Deep Purple
Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad—Meat Loaf
Hmmm, pretty geezerish, even for me.
What Harrison said. As for many people, my favorite Pearl Jam song.
death cab has a song called lowell, ma? what in the hell for? :)
if it’s not about jack kerouac and/or old abandoned textile mills, i can’t ever wager a guess.
