   I knew there was going to be a twist at the end of the story, but even that didn’t lessen its impact.

   After twenty-five years as the editor of a woman’s magazine, and speaker for women’s organizations and at hundreds of women’s conferences, I have talked about abortion, publicly, for the first time this morning.
   The thousands and thousands of us who are in the abortion closet have helped to give power to those who legislate what they cannot convert.
