Get out and act!

If you’re in New York City, there’s a rally from 3-7 at City Hall. One march will leave from Washington Square Park at 2pm. Be there. Support human rights. Take a stand against racism and xenophobia.

UPDATE: As a show of solidarity, CultureKitchen will be publishing all day in Spanish. Bueno suerte Liza! Espero que mis habilidades en Espanol eran mejor, pero son malas. Obviamente. (Apologies to any Spanish-speakers who I just insulted with my abhorrent, lapsed language skills.)

I would like to meet all of you. Unfortunely, I’m living in Spain, south europe. Anyway, I had added your link from my blog. So I had all of you closer.

If anyone in Madison, WI is reading this, there’s a march on RIGHT NOW from Brittingham Park to the Capitol. Biggest crowd I’ve ever seen in this town. It’s a beautiful thing.

If anyone is in Connecticut, there are two rallies today. One on the New Haven Green at 5:00pm, and one in Hartford at 3.

The Hartford one meets up at Sacred Heart Church on Albany Ave and they will march to the capital.

This may be only a regional thing, but here we’d use “deseo que” rather than “espero que.” (“I wish that” rather than “I hope that.”) ¡Aún, pienso que hablas Español mejor que lo hablo!

The City of Brotherly Love had a grand old rally today in Love Park. They estimate 5,000 people attended.
