At Pro-Choice Bingo. Didn’t win any bingo, but I got a chance to meet Jill in person, along with Jessica and Vanessa from Feministing, Scott from Lawyers, Guns and Money, Ezra Klein, Philo, Lindsay from Majikthise, Liza Sabater from Culture Kitchen, and I’m sure I’m missing someone.
Oh, and the event raised $500 for Cecelia Fire Thunder and Pro-Choice Mississippi.
Jill? Even cuter in person. I myself was blowing my nose when she first spotted me. First impressions are so important.
Great meeting you all!

You weren’t actually playing bingo, were you? I’d be afraid doing so would accelerate the aging process.
I had a great time! Thanks for your hard work putting on such a fun event for such a good cause. (I was one of the girls sitting up front drinking afterwards; I’ve got long black hair and was wearing an ensemble of tattered t-shirts safety-pinned together, very chic).
I’m a big fan of Bingo and I thought that was a really cute fundraising idea. I was telling someone afterward that Bingo is sort of women’s culture to begin with, being that it’s mostly played and run by elder ladies, so it’s not a bad fit with feminist activism.
Maybe next time we should have a field trip to Mohegan Sun.
*envy*
Well, I’m coming up to NYC in July so hopefully we’ll be able to like all meet or something.
We were talking about that. Looking forward to it.
Yay, it was so fun! And Amanda, wait until late August to come to NYC, I want to meet you too!
Jill? Even cuter in person.
Is that even possible?
Gosh, given that stellar class list, I would have given one of my eyeteeth to be with you all — my tiresome ambivalence about abortion notwhithstanding, I’m reluctantly pro-choice and unabashedly a fan of that remarkable collection of east coast bloggers.
Yes, you should all be very jealous of our fabulous blogger party styles. Amanda’s July visit aside, we should plan a big ass blogger party one of these days in an exotic locale. Like Ohio or something. ;)
Heehee. I’d be so grateful if you all came to Ohio. It’s lonely for us native blue-staters out there.
Um, we have a few intriguing offerings out here in Pasadena…
I’d cruise my ass on over to Ohio for a bash like that. And trust me, people, we need morale boosters like that in the red states.
