Daou believes, and I’m inclined to agree with him, that ignoring Coulter is the wrong move, and that more attention needs to be focused on the mainstream media outlets that give her a platform to spew her hatred. Why in the blue hell are they meekly lapping it up and legitimizing her eliminationist rhetoric? They really need to be confronted with what they’re doing and asked to justify it.
For that matter, I should probably have a word with my law school alumni magazine. To my knowledge (because I don’t read it every time it comes out), they haven’t run any features on her, but I did see her Time cover in the what-the-alumni-are-doing-now section. Is someone who incites terrorism (NYTimes building) and murder (Murtha) really a good representative for a law school?
