Nevertheless, allowing women to vote has encouraged conservatives like Mr. Tabtabaei to become more pragmatic. He insisted that he always supported giving the vote to women but was against allowing women to run for office. On Saturday night, he sought to emphasize his support of his newfound voting base in a speech entitled “Women and Political Awareness.”

“For the men, we held one rally,” he said, and added, apparently hoping to impress the women, “For you ladies, we have held five.”

Calling something “human nature,” like sexual activity, is down-right silly. It implies that we can’t help it, because we’re biologically programmed! However, factor in society and culture as well as that ambiguous & equivocal subject of free-will and it turns out we’re a little bit more complicated than that.

Sympathy for the She-Devil: Female bosses are finally getting a better shake in the movies. At least a little bit.

You know, as someone who’s been abused by male and female bosses alike and suffered psychologically for it, I really hope this isn’t what we’re pulling for as far as “women in power.” Did you read the book? The woman is conniving, manipulative, and expects her subordinates to read her mind, all the while degrading them and calling them names.

There has to be a way to be successful without abusing others, and bosses like this should not be “cheered on” just because they are a woman in charge. I don’t know why feminists are even supporting this. Doesn’t it enforce the “don’t hire women becasue they’re only superficial bitches” stereotype we all are trying to fight?
