I so love my job

For the past several weeks, and also the next several weeks, I am looking through a document production to figure out just what the hell went wrong between our client and the company they supplied material to. Most of this involves looking through emails written by the purchasing manager of the vendee, a man whose writing style can best be characterized as Comic Book Guy Meets William F. Buckley.

Help me.

If it were my review, I would help you by making the Starbuck’s run every day free for whichever attorney had the best joke about the guy’s bad writing. But without seeing the documents, there’s not much I can do for you.

Oh, wait. You work for one of those itty-bitty firms; so … you are the review. Sorry.

Jenny, nobody trusts contract paras to read docs for substance. I don’t even trust contract lawyers to do that unless I know them from other cases. If you’ve ever been on a big doc review and seen the stuff that gets missed by coders and picked up by quality control …

Holy shit, if it wasn’t so grotesquely unethical (and illegal), I’d ask you to post them.

Well, it’s not unethical or illegal for me to ask. But it is for you to comply.

I gotta say, I’m pretty chaffed that you’ve teased us with unlimited comedy potential when you have no way of delivering.
