If a woman wants IVF in Italy, they can only harvest 3 embryos. They must implant all 3 (without screening any of them). And if something goes wrong in the pregnancy, the woman has to carry all three to term. I told my Italian relatives that if they EVER had trouble conceiving, we would put them up in the US so that they could get it done here.
