I read that!
One part that resonated with me in particular, was:

“That all Don Imus need do for absolution is apologize to the coach and her team, privately, and presto! chango! problem solved. What’s really needed are women of color to place what occurred into the context of the larger system of sexism, racism, misogyny and contempt for women that pervades the culture. ”

That really stuck with me

I was absolutley LIVID at the half-assed apology Imus issued over the radio the next day. He just assumed he could get away with what he said, because black women matter that little. (according to him)

That actually angered me even more than the racist comment itself.
The arrogance in assuming that people would let him get away with it.

Oh.my. god.
