But you didn’t have my favorite, the song from Ireland a few years ago:

“My Lovely Horse”

(Why did Dermot Morgan have to die so young? Why?)

(something)(something)(something) (something)(something) One! Two! (something)(something) One! Two! Three!

(repeat ad infinitum)

Dance!

I think these things seems better when you don’t have access to them.

The Danish entry certainly wasn’t impressing, though a lot of Danes thought it should win. The guy singing should stick to his Tina Turner show (he does a good imitation of her).

Be careful what you wish for. I think this was one of those good years (I didn’t actually see it) where many of the contestants are just plain weird, and that is good entertainment. However, we’ve had so pretty bad years as well – bad pop, boring shows and lots and lots of women who really couldn’t sing but got votes because they were half naked.

I did vote for Lordi last year, though. Just because.

England nil poi, thats all Im screaming for each year! Nil poi damn you!!!!!! What was Ireland thinking, giving us like 9 points? And we didnt even return the favour, how bad is that?

And Mnemosyne is right, Eurovision isnt Eurovision without My Lovely Horse!

Verka Serdyuchka was clearly the best – and we were robbed of first place. I challenge anyone who disagrees to a dance-off.

You might be interested to know that there was some controversy over Verka in Ukraine (and this is Sunday, after all, so I’ll go ahead and self-promote):

I second that.

I sincerely hope you didn’t miss Humppa as well, back when it was hip.

I think you should count your blessings. I would willingly see an end to this outdated event, that last had any kind of validity in the seventies. I mean, last years winner Lordi were at least different, but it’s getting so that you can’t tell the entrants appart. I was particulary unimpressed with the British entry this year, which just dripped with balant nationalism, because here I thought it was supposed to be a song for Europe. No wonder we keep losing. And they moved Doctor Who. Grr.
