Luckily, that headline is only on Slate’s front page; the actual article title doesn’t bring up the same kind of horrible mental images.

Perhaps if he wasn’t such a disagreeable, nasty person, writers wouldn’t be tempted to trash him like that.
Funny headline!
hitch is my favorite trotskyist. sure he’s disagreeable and nasty, but he does it with such flair. who else is willing to take on mother teresa?
and according to alex cockburn he was quite handsome before alcohol got the best of him. i’d much rather see him tapping his foot in the stall than michael moore. (although i’d only open my stall door for the likes of katrina van den heuvel.)
I hope that headline doesn’t give him his next book idea!
Is that supposed to be praiseworthy?
Sorry, I guess I’m old fashioned that way.
i hear u DD. and usually i don’t go for all these fannon-like arguments that western charity to the 3rd world is really just a patronizing form of racism. I mean, at lest she’s doing something. Bur MT is just askng for it. Or as that ol’ leftist hitch puts it in feministt terms:
well, i’m just glad the US is in india now outsourcing and trying to “exploit ” the poor. no one in india want to be a charity case, but everyone wants to be exploited.
