Here are a few of my recent blog posts:
The case for rudeness – activists can’t be effect if they’re always polite.
How to cut an onion without crying – inspired because my husband just chops ‘em up without thinking about my sensitive eyes and how they always make me cry but rarely make him cry.
The difference between sex and gender - a 101 level blog post because some people still don’t get it.
    Enjoy! :)

I posted a bit about a british website for women to moan about their men. I also issued a plea for advice on the continuing process of living out and dealing with the conservative right

    Isn’t it Romantic (and Funny!)?

Wherein I touch on the phenomenon of some rom-com movie guys to try, try, try, (stalk), try to get a woman to love him despite her disinterest.

    My blog of dreams

I happened to dream of Freudian theory, which may be of interest to this group, especially because I’m currently studying his analysis of “Dora”, and her problems due to sexual assault.

I posted some thoughts on my reaction to male feminists and the fact that even on feminist issues, men’s voices can often carry more weight.

    Of interests to feminists–

I blogged about Elaine Teresa Patterson, who confessed to smothering her baby 18 years ago here in Greenville, SC.

She was sentenced to 30 years, for a crime most people didn’t even consider a crime at the time.

I have a post on the good ole boy mentality in Panama City and the Martin Anderson verdict. The guards and nurses were found not guilty of manslaughter. The State’s Attoney office that was in chrge of prosecuting the case hired two people that were fired because of the Anderson scandal.

    http://planetneptune.blogspot.com/2007/10/everyday-misogyny.html

I wrote about two “everyday” occurrences of misogyny that I experienced in this past week, and compared them with the ideas of fairness and free speech in mind.

I offer you “What I didn’t like about the Gossip Girl pilot.” about Josh Schwartz’s artistic decision to equate rape with consensual sex, and “Booo.” about the lack of women in American movies.

I have a new game called “Republican (or Conservative, even if they really are the same thing) Whack-A-Mole,” that I post about quite regularly. They give me so much fodder. Plus, I blogged a great story about Namibia kicking out U.S. mercenary recruiters – no one else seems to be covering it. Wonder why?

I wrote about the Guttmacher Institute study.

I also wrote, rather fearlessly if I might say so myself, on body image and BMI

I write about that one guy that shows up to any class and derails it- much like trolls but in real life.

I’m kind of all over the place right now. Job stuff (writing a book), parenting stuff (helping the not-quite-five-year-old get ready for Halloween, marking milestones in the not-quite-one-year-old’s development), the usual politics drive-bys.

since it was accidentally skipped last week:

    - thoughts on my own, and prophylactic mastectomy in general

    - and what’s it’s like to have breast tissue expanders filled, post-mastectomy

It’s not something I wrote, but I’d like to introduce a great new cartoonist to everyone: the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats.

It started as a “Katzenjammer Kids”-type parody of LOLCats, but it’s turned into a pretty good series that stands on its own.

Ever wondered if you’re a feminist? I’ve discovered the One True Ultimate Litmus Test for feminism, and explain it to you here: http://nadyalec.livejournal.com/280717.html

My take on the “Maryland v. Baby” case, in light of the Maryland legal definition of “consent” to sexual activity…

I usually post here under a different name (my real one), but I recently began an anonymous professional blog… about being a substitute teacher in Chicago Public Schools. My current favorite post is here.
