Sorry about missing this last weekend. I was offline most of the weekend, mostly because my new job entails staring at a computer screen all day and I just didn’t want to see another one for a while.
So. Give us what you got.

GC has been re-designed. *wink*
This seems like as good of a place as any to say that I’ve probably put up my last post here until next Thursday — but until then, come check me out over at The Curvature! :)
Topics of late: Pushing Daisies and Backlash, Dr.Phil on Birth Control, and The Gendercator Controversy.
I take on Kay Hymowitz and Brad Wilcox over feminism, race, class, and marriage here. Sample paragraph:
Okay, several people here know that my blog is Property of a Lady. But I’d like to take a moment to shamelessy promote my other blog Basket of Kisses. My sister and I co-blog on the AMC show Mad Men. Come visit.
I started blogging again.
If you ever doubted that the pro-life movement thinks of women not so much as people with individual personalities, feelings and responsibilities in life, but more as mindless, thoughtless containers for babies, this little video from InsideCatholic.com ought make it pretty clear.
I’m originally from Ohio, and I’ve noticed everyone has heard of the Kent State Massacre. Now I live in SC, and I’ve noticed hardly anyone has heard of the Orangeburg Massacre.
You don’t think the fact that the victims were black students has anything to do with it, do ya?
Anyway, the governor during the whole sordid event (Robert McNair) has just passed on, and his photo is all over the fucking place. I’ve been pissed about that and decided the young black men’s photos needed to be everywhere, too.
I can’t enforce that, of course, except on my blog, so …here’s the history lesson. Thank you for the opportunity, Zuzu.
Something lighthearted for Sunday night: Top 10 Questions You Shouldn’t Ask, such as: Why Don’t You have a Boyfriend? (#2), and “Are you breast feeding?” (#7).
I don’t specifically say these are questions not to ask “women,” but that’s certainly my experience, and is reflected in the list.
I’m looking for suggestions for #10!
Help me out, people!
Circumscription has some new content up, finally. Sex, robots, and booze, strange political bedfellows, and a little cocktail blogging. Later this week: more food politics and more talking about kinky sex.
(I’ll be pretty shocked if this one doesn’t end up in the mod queue.)
It didn’t!
The fundies are all up in arms about the upcoming Golden Compass movie. I try to take them on here.
Eh. Wrote a post about the whole “yellow fever” deal and why those conversations aggravate me so much. Wrote another post about cultural appropriation.
If you’re interested (or just for fun) come and visit my blog at angryyoungwoman.blogspot.com. It’s about feminism as it relates to Mormonism and living with a disability–and just life in general.

The neverending saga of my craptastic new computer and Windows Vista, the insanity-inducing operating system:
Lost in Translation
Here’s the problem:
and
I’m miserable.
Ugh. Some of the comments on my recent blog post about a guy who shot cats with a rifle. The commenters are both sexist and speciesist.

Mostly just linking this past week, but there is “Every woman adores a Fascist”: Porn, BDSM, and squicks.
Some good posts from Womenstake.org recently: Darsana Srinivasan on the Colorado amendment to define a “person” as “any human being from the moment of fertilization” and Julia Kaye on Virginia’s decision to cut off state funding for abstinence-only programs.
I wrote a quick-n-dirty rant about the recent Colorado anti-abortion shenanigans.
i haven’t been blogging much b/c its almost finals time, and i got a puppy. but i did a quick response about anti-choicers here.
