And after I accepted Jesus, His people roasted me up for Christmas dinner.

Muhammad the Muslim Pig is now Muhammad the Christian Pig, a great symbol of good triumphing over evil. Or something:

But why do they hate us?!?!

Holy mother of god. What is that thing?

That must be one teeny tiny Christmas dinner judging by the size of this pig(let)……this pig(let) must have converted to one of the more puritanical denominations.

And don’t think the assholes didn’t know what they were doing by making “Muhammad” a pig.

What would be the exact turnabout anyhow, just to yank the chains of fundi protestant white guys? Hispanic Jesus maybe?

    (Not that I’m going to.)

Gay Jesus and his polyamorous disciples, I’d suspect.

    Hilarity.

I’m not sure they did. At least, not from a pig’s perspective. It almost makes me think it’s a joke about Christianity…..almost

I am more concerned about pigs being able to read, talk, and have the opposable thumbs to surf the internet. Cause I mean, surely if this pig can do ALL that (“some pig!” whew Charlotte!), piggie would figure out pork is forbidden by Islam….but not by the majority of Christians.

Islam’s prohibition on pork is a big issue for them for some reason.

Never mind that Judaism has the same prohibition.

Or that the prohibition is written in the Bible….although Jesus nullifies it later.

Wait…wait is the joke that Islam is so evil, wrong and false that even pigs are converting to Christianity, despite their very excellent chance of ending up their preacher’s bacon?

More bacon for the right-wing nutters, then. What are they complaining about?

Does he? I know he said that it’s not what goes into a man’s mouth that defiles him, but what comes out, but that was a rather larger message than dietary laws, and in any case, it was in an argument about his disciples failing to wash their hands. He also said several times that he hadn’t come to change the law (though he did just that on several occasions – one of the contradictory parts I suppose).

I know Peter had that vision in Acts…

Wouldn’t the fundies hate it if they suddenly realized they can’t have their spare ribs anymore?

I feel asleep while thinking up a comment to this; in other words, why do I give a shit?

Can we just put the extremists of both sides on an island somewhere so we can get on with living? They really do get in the way.

Oh they definitely knew what they were doing with the pig thing. I read a lot of nutty right-wing blogs, and Islam’s prohibition on pork is a big issue for them for some reason.

    Here’s the “some reason”:
American Christian fundamentalism is about denying ethical, fair treatment to living beings like pigs and Muslims (and women and babies) and slaughtering them needlessly to satisfy their selfish desires.

is this fucking serious? how stupid! and it’s not even creative. pfft if you’re gonna be an asshole at least be entertaining!

    Shayne 12.6.2007 at 3:57 am |

I call illogical. Surely the piggie in question would realize it was safer being Muslim. Or Jewish. I believe the pig would be smarter because the blasted Christians would eat him.

Why yes, of course I’ll instantly forfeit my religion when I see a crazy nutjob slander it! Because I really am that gullible.

Seriously, if you change your religion just by listening to THIS guy, I gotta wonder how strong your faith was in the first place.

Does anyone else see the irony of this in light of the case of the British woman who was jailed for naming a teddy bear Muhammad. I think Muslims (and I am one) would find this…even more insulting, considering how pigs are seen in Islam.

Despite my flip comment above, I did. And as Seraph and other commenters noted, that was most definitely the intention of those who produced the video. It is quite clear from the tone of the narrator’s voice.

Tell me this is some sort of bizarre form of performance art. I mean…a stuffed pig with “Muhammed” pasted to it and a gold cross? Seriously?

Or…do I look through everything with irony-colored glasses?

I can see where you are coming from.

One would think that a creature dedicated to reading the bible would actually be facing the book so he could read it…not standing with the book at his back. If anything, the “Christian” author may have unintentionally profaned the bible by having its pages touched by the pig’s tail and hind legs.

    Wouldn’t that be deliciously ironic…
