Feministing has always been a leader for the feminist blogs, and they seem to have out-done themselves again: They’re turning into a community site with diaries, blogs, personal profiles, and much more. If you have some extra cash to spare, you may want to consider throwing it their way, as these upgrades don’t come cheap.
Big congrats to the Feministing ladies for these new developments. And as always, thanks for paving the way!

It’s not for people like me, who are banned for criticizing Jessica. She can’t handle any type of criticism, be it deserved or not.
Elaine, you weren’t banned for criticizing Jessica. You were banned because you were harping on an issue over and over and over again even after Jessica made it clear that she had responded as extensively as she was going to. Then you made really offensive comments. Then you started bringing the issue over here, which is why we put you on moderation. So: This thread is not the place to air your grievances about Jessica/Feministing yet again. You’ve done that, we’ve heard it, and I think it’s time to move on.
You mean I made comments some people took offense to because they don’t share my perspective that oppression is oppression. They deem themselves superior to some living beings and are therefor offended when apt comparisons are made between various oppressions. The comments were not offensive.
Read this article for a good discussion of why the kind of comments I made were misinterpreted by people due to previous trauma, not by AR feminists:
