Just in time for Chanukah

For all your feminist friends – the toy that depicts their future if they don’t start working harder on their man-pleasing wiles. I give you the Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure.

Cat Lady Action Figure

(yeah, I know it’s not the weekend yet, but I couldn’t resist)

I have this. A friend gave it to me for a holiday gift last year. Can’t imagine what he was thinking…

    Red Queen,

Would there be any concerns of their not getting along with each other on that tree? :)

Can I be a CCL with only one cat? She’s pretty crazy herself.

This is actually pretty accurate. It only leaves out, who wants to be around men? Unless they are feeding me or screwing me, they need to go home.

We gave this to my mother in law and she loves it. She has said for years that after raising three kids and being married for 25+ years that her dream is to be the crazy lady at the end of the street with all the cats. She is definitely a cat person – lots of kitty decor, has done fostering and rescuing, so maybe we just have a different take on it. It was on the shelf next to Moses, Jesus with glowing hands, Mozart, and the unicorn that impales people, so it was just another silly action figure to us.

From the same manufacturer, my husband gave me the Marie Antoinette Action Figure (with Ejector Head Action!) for our anniversary this year. Who said marriage has no benefits? ;-)

I am limited to two cats at a time because going over that limit is a one-way ticket to crazy cat lady territory for me. (I would be the scary crazy cat lady with poop all over the floor, so trust me, you don’t want me to be that person. I leave it to the people who can actually care for more than two cats at a time.)

I had a boyfriend (now an EX) who got mad during an argument about god-knows-what and told me I’d be a crazy cat lady someday, apparently because I refused to bow to his silly demands. I told him I’d be happier with cats than with him, and luckily he’s long gone! Let’s see…cats who unconditionally love me on one hand, or…punk ass loud-mouth boy-child on the other…yeah, cats win every time. Now I have my cake and eat it too, 3 cats and a man who loves my attitude:)

Got the Shakespeare action figure for my birthday, from the same line. *grin*

I have this, and put it next to the “Mr. Right When You Need Him.”

Someone gave me TWO of the latter.

This’ll go great with my librarian action figure. Although maybe that’s a bit redundant.

They make an Anne Bonny pirate action figure as well. Mine shares a shelf with the librarian.

I have four of the furry darlings and several of my students call me the Cat Woman. :) I’ve already emailed some friends with a ‘hint’ about the appropriate gift/ornament this year.

I am afraid to ask, but I have to; what per chance does “Mr. Right When You Need Him” look like”?

When I was young and worked in a grocery store, there was in fact a cat woman that looked much like the action figure; she came shopping once a month, had a smelly old wool coat on no matter the weather, that was loaded with cat hair, wore fluffy slippers and flannel pajama pants and an old stained blouse, which you could barely see anyway. Her grey hair was in a wild medusa look of unkemptness. She was kind, but it was hard to stand and listen to her inquiries without a churning stomach as she smelled like an old, over filled catbox.

I swear, that is the image I have in my mind when I think of cat lady. I don’t see myself getting there anytime, ever unless I hit Alzheimer’s and I hope my kids will help me out by then.
