An Albuquerque abortion clinic was set fire on Thursday night by two people. The feds are saying it was an arson.
Predictably, the anti-choice crowd is deciding to “not speculate,” and saying that the building “caught fire” — not that someone set it. They further emphasize that the clinic does evil, evil abortions, even listing how much those abortions cost — because a medical procedure is especially bad if you have to pay for it, apparently (who knew LifeSite was such a proponent of universal health care?). They make it clear from the get-go that Curtis Boyd is a horrible, evil abortion provider, and therefore a pretty good anti-choice target — and I’m sure that if it comes out that the fire was started by lunatic anti-choice terrorists, the anti-choicers over at LifeSite and RealChoice be oh-so-offended at the suggestion that their actions support and encourage these people.
So, newsflash ladies and gentlemen: They do. Because I’m not sure how else to interpret this:
Those of us who recognize the harm abortion does can also lament that the fire has in no way diminished Boyd’s enthusiasm for the practice and he’s reportedly scraping women out at another location.
Hey, maybe it’ll take a shot to the head instead.
Thanks to Angie for the links.

I mentioned this yesterday and I also criticized our Representatives, Senators, the White House, the FBI and the CIA for allowing these anti-choice terrorists to run free and do as they please. I also called of the FBI and CIA to add groups such as the Pro-Life Action Network and Operation Save America to the list of terrorist organizations.
Intimidating, harassing and threatening to blow up women’s clinics IS NOT free speech.
Yep, fire didn’t stop him. So what do we try next?!!!
Fucking terrorists. What good does it do to take off your shoes at the airport when we coddle and protect our home-grown evil?
At least they aren’t Muslims!
If, say, a bunch of misguided war opponents started burning down military recruitment centers, the feds would come down on them like a ton of bricks. Infiltration, surveillance, the whole nine yards. There’s no way you can tell me otherwise. This is a case of toleration by law enforcement, pure and simple.
Okay. Two things.
1. How sad is it that I find out about local news on Feministe? I mean, not sad for you, sad that I don’t read the local news.
2. This is the abortion clinic I went to. Scary. The people who work there are all really nice, and secret heroes of mine. I hope they catch the people who did this and bring them to justice quickly.
This is why I can’t be bothered to give a shit about the people who got shot at churches over the weekend. Reap as you sow, motherfuckers. It’s about time, too.
…seriously? That’s pretty fucked up, Aaron. And it’s not any better than the people who think it’s ok to bomb or set fire to abortion clinics.
I really, really hope you’re a right-wing troll being sarcastic and trying to bait people.
No, actually, I meant it; on the other hand, I was ashamed of it as soon as I said it.
I am just having a great deal of difficulty maintaining my grasp of nuance in this situation. I should probably get that under control before I go commenting in haste again. Sorry about that.

Too late, Aaron . . . you’re already an accessory to mass murder, because people who commit insanely violent acts are primarily fueled by their blog-reading.
I think RealChoice was expressing pretty much the sentiment that Bill Maher identified here, in explaining why all the left-wing bloggers who celebrated Jerry Falwell’s death were’nt actually calling for the murder of televangelists.
