This is my first time posting but I just had to after hearing this on the radio this morning. If a University is not a safe place for open discussion and debate, then how can democracy ever thrive? And if this is tolerated, I absolutely shudder to think about what other various “crimes” Afghan citizens will be put to death for. But all is justified under religion right? Hearing about stuff like this makes me feel absolutely hopeless about the world in general…

Thanks, SoE- I was so upset when I read this yesterday I couldn’t comment. Cleaned my attic all day… felt the same frustration as Sarah J.
