    Hey guys.

Apparently, men need to think they’re going to get some before they’ll step foot in the kitchen.

    Julie Newmar is still awesome.

Wow. I hate to judge people who call themselves feminists. But really?

Tell me, Huffington Post: is it women, celebrities, or drunk drivers who are idiots?

Thanks for letting me be shameless!

In Denmark some people suggested men ought to complain about how their gender is portrayed in commercials. I take issue with that and go through some of the commercials shown on Danish television in the past year or two, showing just why I think the article was ridiculous.

Not a very feminist post, but I just posted this on mountaintop removal and the war on Appalachia. Also cross posted at my place.

Getting rather tired of certain arguments against Clinton.

Even more tired of how free market talk has infected damn near everything, to the point where we advocate “protecting” the disabled from discrimination by refusing to protect them at all.

    *sigh*

I’m not sure I’ve ever partaken in Shameless Self-Promotion Sunday before, so here goes. :D

I did of course blog for choice a couple of weeks ago, just after writing about how much anti-choicers confuse me. More recently I wrote about the War On Women and followed up with some frightening statistics on request.

    :D

On changing the current curriculum so we don’t need Africentric schools to fill in the gaps. Comments and suggestions are really appreciated on that one.

On good sex for teenage girls and women.

And, late to the party, a post on Blogging for Choice.

A friend of mine and I started up a new blog about radical psychology. From our mission statement, our goals:

    1) a new approach to psychological issues which forgoes common conventions and draws inspiration from feminism, queer theory, anti-racism, disability rights activists and radical politics, among others
    2) critique of psychological institutions and standards such as the DSM, pharmaceutical industries, and academia
    3) exploring ways in which psychology can inform political and social action and thought

We’re really hoping to build a community, so if you’re interested in issues such as these, please come check us out.

Hi all…I just started a blog I thought I’d share-on feminist pop-culture and media analysis. I’m a grad student in theory and criticism and I teach Women’s studies and I started a blog looking for conversation and dialogue around contemporary issues from a feminist perspective to help me to continue formulate my own ever-evolving feminism and to hopefully provoke new thought among others.

My recent posts include The Problem with ‘Pussy’ and Gender Stereotypes and Male Feminists

    Cheers!

Canadians and Mondays about new multipurpose racial slurs being incorporated into the American English language.

In which am so heartened by the pro-Obama outpouring of civic engagement that I am moved to muse on reason #567,682,497 that I *heart* NY: my neighborhood around election day.

It even caused a temporary abatement of the political ranting at Election-Year Weltschmerz.

    Enjoying everyone else’s self-promotions!
