Awesome:
He’s right that anti-choicers have done nothing to decrease the abortion rate. It’s been the pro-choice movement that has taken the most effective steps to reduce the need for abortion and promote healthy families. That needs to be repeated again and again.

Ah, this is great, thanks for posting the vid! I saw it on TV while I was on the treadmill at the gym, and think I drawn attention to myself for my how huge my ear-to-ear grin was.
Hey, that’s a fuckin’ awesome clip, but the quality is pretty bad. This clip is of better quality (shorter though):
I wish I hadn’t clicked through to the YouTube comments. :(
Queer loving, baby killing Clinton!
you pro-aborts have been taught that you evolved/came from monkeys, maybe that explains why you have no brains and so much hate in your hearts and total disregard for human life.
When you have sex you have to chose to have a child, so don’t give the argument that they didn’t chose tho have a child.
Sigh… I’d like to believe that these comments are all from 14-year-olds. It may not be true but it makes me feel better to think that.
“Queer loving…”
Yes, he better love me!
Holly, I would like to think the same thing. Yet, as the video demonstrated, that probably isn’t the case.
I saw this a few days ago and I’ll repeat what I said about it then:
Of course, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Pres. Clinton had a hand in the bullshit welfare reform and ab-only diseducation, but still, pretty fucking awesome.
The so-called “pro-life movement” is only good for theatrics. There was actually a juggler outside of the Terri Schiavo hospice. These people are clowns.
This may be a random comment, but…
Our local neighborhood abortion protester carries a sign just like that which says “Abortion Kills Children”, with the A, K, and C really big, and for the longest time I would just drive by and assume the sign must have said something with A, B, C (the three go well together in that order), and it took me the longest time to actually look at it and read it right.
More random, but funny, our abortion protester got protested by animal rights activists for making his dog protest with him in the summer heat.
This is really exciting to me. Is it just me or do democrats not really talk about choice very much? It seems like Repubs wave their anti-choice flags, but I don’t hear very strong pro-choice Dem voices out there so much.

Becca, that is quite possible the funniest thing I’ve heard all week.
“When you have sex you have to chose to have a child, so don’t give the argument that they didn’t chose tho have a child.”
Next time that person goes to a restuarant, orders a steak, and then contracts food poisoning, they’ll have no right to any kind of medical attention, because they chose to eat the steak, and thus chose to house and nourish the little parasites now thriving in their digestive tracts. Every bacterial and viral parasite has a right to life! Dirty, sinful, meat-eating whore! Don’t you know food poisoning–and poor spelling– is God’s punishment for eating steaks?! Now excuse me while I enjoy a steak and medical science, and the rewards of the pro-choice movement.
Ooh! Mea culpa. “Restaurant,” not “restuarant.”
[...] *swoon* for the record, i totally heart WJC! h/t to feministe [...]
Remember a time when we had a president who could think on his feet, and speak well while doing it?
Good times… good times. Hopefully soon we will return to that! :)
Holly, I’m currently submitting comments like the ones you posted to Fundies Say The Darndest Things. This video’s comments are a goldmine!
After enduring growing up as a Midwest Catholic Teen For Jesus, I can definitely say I do not have much love for the Franciscan University of Steubenville. The commenter who used the words “think tank” really couldn’t be more right. I like the word “tank,” especially. The one “retreat” I went on to that place treated us like cattle. Maybe they thought that because we were kids, it was okay to cram 8-10 of us into a two-bed dormroom and stuff a thousand of us in a hot gym while telling us that the worst evil we could inflict on the world was dressing immodestly and tempting the good Catholic boys with our sinful bodies.
Great stuff, Bill. 16 years too late, but its still great to watch those hateful cretins being cut down to size & put in their place.
I heart Bill Clinton. :)
Damn…
I wish MORE politicians were like that. Kudos to you Bill. You called them out for the liars and hypocrites they are. It needs to be done A LOT more often.
Random babble, I am likewise swooning. I do miss the ’90s a bit.
Life Links 2/21/08…
I think we can have an argument about how a variety of factors (prolife legislation, contraceptives, education, greater openness to out-of-wedlock births, etc.) have each played a role in lowering the abortion rate but to claim “anti-choicers have do….
Clearly this person is a danger to progressives and must be stopped. Or at least that’s what I read on DailyKos
Marissa sez:
Because, quite simply, both parties think that the American people are idiots and wilting flowers at the sign of real issues. I’ve noticed this trend over the past fifteen, twenty years that I’ve been paying attention that certain issues are “safe” issues. Everybody wants to be “tough on crime” because, what’s the alternative?
The anti-choice crowd has been setting the tone of the debate for far too long. Nobody wants to come out as publicly, unashamedly pro-choice as a candidate because OMG BABY KILLER will be the first thing they think Middle America will think. Nobody likes abortion and abortion isn’t popular, but it is necessary for it to be legal. I think the issue should be framed that way instead, and maybe, just maybe, more pro-choice politicians will grow a pair of ovaries/balls and be up front and loud about their views on safe, legal abortion.
No doubt about it, Bill can still rock the house.
I think most YouTube commentors are really really stupid. Like not even age 14 worthy. More like, they have reverted back to the fetal state and are just spouting random things that have nothing to do with anything else.
I wonder if any other types of Videos on YouTube get more comments than something about abortion. Hmm.
I do think that Republicans (such a funny word) focus so much on their anti-choice agenda because they are mainly old white men who like to butt into peoples lives, bedrooms and uteruses. Also they think that if they focus on such an emotional topic they wont have to prove their ineptitude in anything else.
Being President is not just about Abortion (keeping it legal or not). It’s about taking care of the ENTIRE population not just a fraction of it. Men, Women, Children, Seniors, Animals etc. everyone.
Hhaha!
I definitely see that as a great way to heckle the guy. I would love to see that in action.
