You just made me nostalgic. I was born on the island and lived there until eight years ago. I have not been back since 2005. I used to work at the book store in San José Street. Working in Old San Juan is one of my fondest memories.

yay my homeland (till I was three, but whatever). old san juan is one of my favorite places in the world. my mom lived there for a while, and i'd say i was jealous of her except there's no central air conditioning. but it is so beautiful. did you have a chance to see el morro?

Those are great pictures, but I think it’s clear that a bunch of us want to know the pressing question: how’d you like AA? =P

Ha -- I loved AA! I was only there for a few days, but we had a great time. I went to Ashley's and was very satisfied -- the beers were fantastic. But my absolute favorite was Zingerman's Road House -- I nearly died over the goat cheese mac 'n cheese. Mmmmm...

Old San Juan was one of the coolest places I've ever been. Love those pastel-colored buildings.
