Anxious Black Woman reminds us that today is an important day to write about women in the Congo. Bloggers are speaking out against “the mass murder, the mass rape, and the systematic mutilation of black women and girls of the Democratic Republic of Congo, [and] the mass murder, the mass rape, and the systematic mutilation of black women and girls of Darfur.”
SheCodes has important video and commentary.
Anxious Black Woman names names of companies that have profited from the conflict in the Congo — literally over the maimed, abused and dead bodies of women and girls.
Write about the Congo today — and take action against the profiteers and the criminals. Anxious Black Women has some ideas as to how we can do that. Feel free to think of other strategies, or link to your own post about the Congo and Darfur, in the comments.
Thanks to Off Our Pedestals for these great links and the important post. Head over there and read her thoughts, too.

Thanks for calling our attention to this, Jill. Not pleasant reading, but really important stuff. Thank you.
