The long-awaited 2007 Femmostroppo Awards have been announced!

The Femmostroppo Awards honor (what this group of judges deems to be) the best 40 feminist or womanist blog posts of the year. Congratulations to everyone who made it in. I’m happy to see several of the posts that I personally nominated, and so many bloggers whose work I regularly read.
I’m also happy/proud to see so many Feministe writers and alumni. Special congrats to Jill, Zuzu, Jack, La Lubu* and Nanette* . . . and thank you to the judges for including me.
Give yourselves a pat on the back, everyone — and then get back to work!

Your typo in the post title and text makes it all sound a little kinky though. ‘Stroppo’=’stroppy’, nothing to do with strappy sandals, strappado or any other words containing ’strap’ :)
Hehe. Fixed. God, I swear that I checked the spelling of that one like 5 times . . . spelling is so not my forte. :)
But La Lubu won for a post on feministe? Why no props?

Wow! I had no idea I’d even been nominated! That’s great. And yeah, this sort of thing does actually serve as motivation for me to get back to work. (Though when one is swamped and has to choose between doing the paid tech work for community orgs and the unpaid blogging work…)
