Hospital deportations are both cruel and stupid – we do NOT want communities of people who are afraid to seek medical assistance when they need it.

Has anyone found out just how it’s possible that a hospital is able to deport immigrants? Are they going thru any legal (unethical, but legal) process or are they just forcing them on a plane?

It was probably a combination of her impending recovery and the publicity that caused them to change their minds. You are right in that we should not forget what this hospital attempted to do. If they did it once, chances are they will do it again and the next patient may not get as much attention.

When did hospitals go into the deportation business?

Yeah. Exactly. I didn’t know it was possible, but I’m even MORE ticked off from this than the original story.

Thankful for her improvement and that she won’t be illegally deported, but really, really angry at the reason why.
