Breaking News

Rat on a cat on a dog. I’m glad CNN is up on the really important stories.

(Although, yes, it is an amazing story). Thanks to Rebe for the link.

I don’t understand. It’s a rat on a cat on a dog. It’s brilliant news. Other than being totally fucking stupid that is.

My girlfriend and I play this game when we’re both on gChat. No joke. It’s called Onion or CNN. I copy and paste headlines from one of the two sources and she is left to figure out which is which. She’s got a 50/50 track record for being right. CNN is just that good at being that tricky. You missed this one, though. It sure is a doozy – Denise Richards says sperm e-mail faked. This one is also very good – Hello Kitty named Japan tourism ambassador.

Not to mention this story is really old. Cute Overload was on this months ago.

I saw that story (rat/cat/dog) earlier today and thought the exact same thing.

It’s wierd how they juxtapose stories like “Mobs kill refugees in South Africa” with “Funny talking parrot recites his own poetry” or something.

Maybe it’s their idea of a “good news” story.

I’ve seen this before, and I agree that it’s not ‘news.’ But I do hope it helps people to get over their fear of/disgust for the idea of pet rats. They’re wonderful little animals. They’re smart, and each one has a unique personality, just like dogs. The only downside is their short lifespan. Other than that, they’re the perfect pet. (Yes, I have pet rats – 3 at the moment – as well as 2 big dogs.)

I guess this shows that an Obama/Clinton ticket is possible after all (with Bill C. as the rat).
