Aside from seeming pretty awesome, I worry that it was meant to be some kind of f-ed up male fantasy–wild women who will kick your ass and then have sex with you.
One thing I noticed – for a film called “The Female Bunch”, in which the leading roles are presumably the females of the eponymous bunch – and yet, the actors’ names considered worthy of mention in the trailer? Two men, listed first, and then one woman!
Well, the title is from the recently released “The Wild Bunch” by Peckinpah. This is definitely a Russ Meyer (Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!)-type film, although the appearance of an aging Lon Chaney, Jr. near the end kind of surprised.
I think Tarantino spoofed this in his portion of the Grindhouse flick. Mainly by unleashing 184 pages of dialog.
I looked it up on IMDB here and going from the synopsis it seems less like a feminist movie and more like a cautionary tale for women to know there place.
Sandy gets in with the female gang but decides this life may not be for her but oh noes it might be too late to get out.

Seems like a sexytimes film for men, more than a movie about women’s liberation for men.
Of note: setting the standard in those early days of “women’s lib” – no women of colour are in “The Female Bunch”.

Hehe, so hokey. Looks like weird pseudo-feminist camp. I’d watch it, but only to giggle at bad feminist stereotypes.
Also, they’re all extremely hot and made up, for a “diverse” group.
I lol’d.
Whaddaya mean no women of color? I saw a blond AND a brunette.
