I’m guilty of one AA purchase, which is a total surprise since most know me as the ultimate anti-hipster. But it was an emergency, I needed a long-sleeved black shirt! Needed it! Old Navy didn’t even have them! Did I mentioned that I needed it?

But overall, I find the quality to be extremely shitty. Once that sucker stretched out, it was gone. My Express replacement for that shirt is perfect; washed I don’t know how many times and it still looks new.

And the advertisements, dear god/dess/es! What a waste of space and effort! Sexist as hell, but I find that in their attempts to be sexy, they end up looking rather corny and very tacky.

I’m glad I’ve never shopped at AA (can’t afford it, shit probably wouldn’t fit my ass, and I’m not into the preppy look). Man, how does someone like that become a CEO?! I don’t undrestand this world sometimes.

He is a popular Halloween costume in my town. Partially because we all own his damn clothes.

I hate that in order to get more than one color of a less-than-ugly shirt made in the US, I have to pay this guy money to harass his employees. Whenever my sister and I try on AA stuff, it’s one long string of Dov Charney jokes (“Dov don’t want no fatties, yo!” – his stuff is so unbelievably tiny that ballerinas who don’t eat are the last people who can wear the xs – “Oh shit, it fits, I’m totally going to wake up in his porn basement, aren’t I.”

And then we buy his damn products, because I get paralyzed by the exploited-3rd-world vs. well-paid-but-harrassed t-shirt algebra and goddammit, I might have to wear the XL, but I look good in his shirts.

Ick.
