Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, and I’ll be guest blogging here for a coupla weeks. Thanks very much to the Feministers for the invite.
I’m a blogger with Change Happens, the blog of Students Active For Ending Rape (SAFER), an organization that I co-founded. I also sit on SAFER’s board. I’m currently in the process of working toward my Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary, and I hope to someday be ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister. In the five minutes I have left over, I work part-time at the Center for HIV Law and Policy, help organize the LGBTQ/Allies group at my church, and teach group fitness classes.
I’ll try my best to write about stuff that you’ll find interesting.

welcome! I will look forward to reading your future articles :)
Hey, Ashley! Welcome, and glad to be working with you again, albeit in a fairly different context from before (i.e., the SAFER website!)
Oh my gosh! I am considering studying to be a UU minister, aren’t we the coolest?
I’m looking forward to your posts.
I’m so glad you accepted the invite, Ashley! As always, I look forward to your posts.
Wow, the late George Carlin was more limber than I remember.
My amazing, wonderful feminist mother was a Unitarian Universalist until her death, and as a teen I attended occasionally, making it the last religious organization I was ever a congregant of. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for UU.
Ditto. :)
i think you are a barnard alumna, too !? two cheers.
Hey yay– Yes, I am. Go Barnard :)
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! And Jack! Nice to hear from you again.
