And miscellany.
- I am in the middle of a job search. You know how most job applications ask if you have any friends or relatives working for the company? The state prison sent me an application, and they asked the same thing… sort of. They didn’t ask whether I knew anyone who worked there. They asked whether I knew anyone being jailed there.
- When you see the word “local” and read “lolcat,” you know something has gone terribly wrong. (Specifically, “the lolcat police.” That’s an interesting prospect.)
Kitty pictures below the cut.
Coaxing Buddy out from behind the couch. (It actually worked!)
You all know that no open box can go vacant in the presence of a cat. What, then, is a cat to make of the availability of a box within a box?
Mitsy and her teddy mouse, Ratticus.

Hey Mitsy, have you ever tried yoga? I hear it’s very relaxing…

I’m sure fellow cat owners will recognize below what we call, simply, the Mood.

Oooh, they are so pretty, your photographs are full of kitty personality! I must go home now and fruffle my two fluffy beasts. Our boycat takes naps using his favourite toy as a pillow, his sister sleeps with her paws in our shoes as though she’s wearing them.
My kitty prefers to chew on boxes rather than sleep in them. Her favorite sleeping spot is on my pillow, which I don’t mind but I do have to keep a lint roller in the nightstand!
Mitsy likes to curl up on the edge of the bed between my pillow and my nightstand. I love having her cuddle with me but the bed gets cat-hairy very quickly. :( It should subside in a few months, though; I never had that problem in the cooler seasons.
Aww, thanks for catblogging :) I wish I had a lolcat of my own…*wistful look*
I too am looking for a job. I quit my state prison job at the start of the month. Yes, there were some people I knew there, from high school, although I never actually encountered them.
Looking at the job market here in Idaho, I wonder–what the hell was I thinking, leaving a job that *almost* paid a living wage for the great unknown of $8-10 an hour jobs? Then I remember that working at prison is awful–I would never, never recommend it to anyone.
I also wonder what the hell I was thinking when I majored in Political Economy and minored in Asian Studies. D’oh!
Well, thanks again for the happy pictures, they cheered me up! ;) Good luck with the job hunt.
Oh, the pretties. ^_^ Mine is harder to photo-capture, alas.
Maybe I should practice cat-blogging, and see if I can get any photos that are decent of the little orange girl.
Cute kittehs!
One of my cats — the neutered male — tends to “adopt” his furry toys, too. He used to carry one around with him, groom it, even bring it to the food bowl.
Then we got him his very own kitten, and now she’s his baby. Even though she’s a year old now, he still insists on making sure she’s well-groomed at all times.
