In my opinion Plain is not qualified to be the senator left alone the Vice President. Such a role is way out of her lead for endless reasons. One she wants to represent women with men objectives. I don’t believe she has a platform of her own. She running an election with hopes to make changes but has no idea what changes are needed for the American people or in office. She claims to be head strong but not once has she directly answered a question. Reason being she needs heads up form McCains Advisors. I know that all candidates have the advisors, but shouldn’t they come in after they’ve made a choice first?
There are too many questions and there are no answers.
Not mention I am not impressed with her educational or family background. Nor am I convinced that the baby she is claiming to be hers is indeed hers and not her daughter’s. Plain predicament with her daughter reminds me of the Bush girls and their father’s” we will be hard on under age drinking”. Until his daughters were the ones in questions, now it’s the same with her daughter. She was so nose in the air about abortion and people should be responsible about sex and teach their children to responsible. Seems like history dose repeat itself, but I am not looking for history I looking for change.
Why Plain? Why did they pick her? They over looked so many highly qualified Senators. I am sure she did a great job with Alaska but comparing that to the entire nation is unconventional

Hey, all. I’m kind of wondering if this poll works. I got an email about it last Friday and the numbers haven’t changed at all between then and now. I checked a couple of times over the weekend, too (and I had to “vote” each time to do it–which seems a really sloppy way to set up a poll). Plus, if you go to that show’s main page, the new vote is a McCain/Obama one (McCain is winning if folks want to try to fix that: http://www.pbs.org/now/ scroll down to the bottom right)
Ehhhh… technically she’s qualified. My crazy aunt is qualified. My dimwit mechanic is qualified. That creepy guy on the corner who doesn’t shower and yells about THE END BEING NEAR, he’s qualified. To serve as VP, you have to be a natural-born citizen, 35 or older, and lived in the US for at least 14 years, just the same as the qualifications for president.
There’s a difference between “qualified” and “good idea” :P Hell, I’m disqualified, being only 30, but I’d still be a better candidate.
Something smells fishy about this. First, that you can vote as often as you like, and also that so far nobody seems to be on the fence. Usually, no matter how miserable a candidate is, somebody’s on the fence…
Are you all jealous of this woman or something? I think my IQ just dropped 30 points reading your comments, especially yours Susan. Are your drunk?Because you can’t spell. Her last name is Palin, not Plain. The saying is let alone, not “left alone” and way out of her leauge, not “lead”.. WOW.. Any way I love her… She holds others accountible for their actions, starting with her own family. She was just being polite to Katie Kuric, the truth is the morning after pill is abortion, aka murder…. Go Palin!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honey, you were better off not commenting about Susan’s spelling. I found about three mispelled words in your comment. Maybe you are jealous of Susan because she raised some valid points. She was voicing her opinion which is the whole point of this blog anyway. In my “opinion” Sarah Palin is definately not qualified to be VP. She has a lot going on in her family life, and I don’t believe she is in the position to run the country if Mr. McCain was to drop dead. Besides, I’m Democrat!

Looks like you can vote as many times as you’d like….

This is stupid. It wouldn’t matter if she had 50 years political experience. Her positions and her ethics are completely unacceptable, full stop.
What I’m kinda wondering is why is NOW on PBS. Or is it PBS on NOW…err what?
Really, really kinda dumb web page in addition to the poll.
The fact that we must even ask this question means that this entire election has pretty much become a very long David Lynch movie.
(And the answer is no. She isn’t. I know twenty-somethings with more foreign policy experience.)
…but Natalia…she can see Russia from her house!

Well, I voted HELL NO, anyway.
I voted three or four times, you know, just to make sure. Absentee votes for my family.

Greatest. Comment. Ever.
If only the rest of us could be as bright as Shela and “Katie Kuric.”
