Wow. I saw the SNL parody before I saw this, and I wasn’t expecting it to really be just this bad. I actually feel sorry for her – it reminds me of every job interview I’ve ever been to where I didn’t prepare as well as I should have and was just spouting BS in a vain attempt to somehow say something sensible. Of course, I think there’s A BIT more at stake in Palin’s case.
Does anyone know where I can find a video of the entire interview?

that was just painful! I love how at the end the correspondant puts the blame on McCain’s campaign for her lack of knowledge stating that if they let Sarah Palin speak more then it wouldn’t be so bad and she wouldn’t be stumbling so much. The deer in headlights look as Couric keeps asking her how that makes her an expert is classic.

I give this interview a FAIL!

Yeah, she does, doesn’t she, Cartoon Coyote? Wow.

And gods, that was painful… it was like watching a female Bush talking non-answers and stupidity. Palin has to be… what, the second VP nomination in America ever, and she’s made no preparation, obviously.

This is just bad… imagine her speeches if she ever makes it as President after McCain bowls over, or discussions with the press.

As a republican, this is quite embarrassing, and I eagerly await the upcoming train wreck otherwise known as the VP debate the way I await, well, a train wreck.

I do however take confort in the fact that she hasn’t said anything as stupid as Gerry Ferraro’s Bizzaro-World Theory of Black Privilege. Did anyone notice her idiocy back in ’84?

Well, that’s all I got; a tu quoque. So I’m clinging to it.

I truly cannot fathom how anyone can think this person deserves to be or is ready to be the VP of the country. She can’t even form a coherent thought…though I guess people like that characteristic (see: Bush).

I’m glad Couric pressed her on it and didn’t let her get away with one stupid non-answer, though I wish she’d been even more forceful. People need to see that Palin is not only unqualified but can’t even put on a facade of being qualified, FFS.

And you know…yeah, Alaska is close to Russia, but to the ass-end of it! The part of Russia where Putin rears his head and all the other governmenty stuff goes on is waaaaaay over on the other side, Sarah – the part that’s geographically closer to Boston than to Juneau! So therefore, maybe the mayor of Boston is more qualified for your spot on the ticket…

I live in San Francisco and I can see the Bank of America building from my apartment window – does that make me an expert on banking? AWESOME, I can totes get a better job now.
