I'm guessing most of us don't support the death penalty, but obama does. How about a militarized border wall? Obama voted for and continues to support that. Support gay marriage? not obama. A plan to get rid of the hyde amendment and make abortion more accessible for women? He won't touch it. of course, McCain is on the wrong side of these questions as well. I'm not cynical about change, just about Obama bringing much of it. I don't think that's addiction; it's something else bigger. I'm really letting myself believe this time. I think some of us didn't want Obama to get the nomination because the thought of him getting close and losing was unbearable. It's gone from unbearable to unthinkable; I'm a bundle of nerves right now, and I know on Tuesday I'll probably be crying my eyes out. I want to vote for someone I'm proud to vote for. Obama's not perfect, I don't agree with him on everything, but you know what? I will be proud to cast this ballot. I won't just be voting against the unthinkable--I'll be voting my own tearful hopes.
