Speaking of birth control art, check out my piece “Fiscal Responsibility”. It’s not for sale, so barely relevant to this post, but I wanted to share anyway.

There’s an etsy shop where an artist stencils famous feminists onto recycled clothes. Haven’t bought anything b/c it’s not really my style, but it’s cool. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5005258

KMStitchery is a feminist stencil designer who promotes eco-friendly clothing. Her stencils so far include Frida Kahlo, Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Gloria Steinem, Gertrude Stein, Emma Goldman, Lucy Stone, Victoria Woodhull, Simone de Beauvoir, and Susan B. Anthony, among others. I personally own three of her shirts and I can testify to their gorgeous appeal and comfortable style.

KM STITCHERY is recycled, reused, and ethical!

**PLEASE NOTE: All the clothing is RECYCLED. Most clothing is in brand new condition, it is overstock dropped off at the thrift store by big corporations. No need to buy new clothes when there are so many used ones out there that need a home! So that means, no duplicates (usually)! I purchase my materials from thrift stores. Being enviromentally friendly and sweatshop free is important! The ink used is water-based and non-toxic!

I would suggest checking out the Dreams for Women calendar as we REALLY need your help! With only one month left of 2008, we still have 500 copies of our 2009 Dreams for Women Calendars left to sell! The money raised by selling these calendars is instrumental for us to launch Antigone For Girls (a magazine written by and for girls aged 10-15 that will encourage them to get involved in leadership and politics).

The 2009 Dreams for Women Calendar is a non-profit calendar featuring 12 postcards sent in from around the world depicting men and women’s Dreams for Women (Ex. ‘I dream of a world where no woman is seen and not heard’). The funds raised from the sales of the calendar go to the Antigone Foundation (www.antigonemagazine.wordpress.com).

It’s only $20 CND (pretty cheap with the exchange rate as it is) and we can get it to you by Christmas!

    Check it out:
    http://antigonemagazine.wordpress.com/2008/10/26/its-here-the-dreams-for-women-2009-calendar-is-here/

We’re also giving away 15 FREE calendars to the first 15 bloggers who blog about the calendar and pay the $5 shipping fee.

If you’re looking for something a bit more upscale and long lasting, I suggest Mark Defrates’ custom jewelry: http://www.markdefrates.com

My partner had him make a custom sisterhood pendant for me in sterling to my exact specifications and I cannot say enough good things about it.

    To see it:

The Shopping Feminist Style page can be a good resource:

    I also like Coyote’s Corner:

And…Radical Rags. They have Feministing’s Jessica V.’s “” shirt there along with a few others, and also have some tees for other progressive causes/people, such as Chomsky or Zinn and Veg slogans:
