Quinn claimed that “real women” are those who display his favourite physical stereotypes of femininity, and any woman who is not slim and motherly is somehow inadequate. This is naturally and obviously offensive.

And somehow it’s okay for us to respond with remarks about how any man with a small penis is inadequate.

Hypocrisy? Anyone?

The saddest thing about these commentators is that they always associate strong women they don’t like to nasty sexual stereotypes. One would think they had a more creative and intelligent way of expressing themselves. But, maybe because they express themselves on such a banal way, they have shows and appeal to those with the same misogynist and banal tendencies.

Classy gets as classy deserves, I suppose.

For what it’s worth, Jim Quinn’s comments are certainly lamer than Deborah Lawrence’s ornament, which at least counts for political speech rather than tired, unoriginal characterizations of teh womenz.
