My mom’s lived in Washington for 28 years and she’s never seen snow like this. I’ve lived here for 23 and I’ve never seen snow like this in my LIFE. It’s been taking me an hour+ to get to work, if I can get to work at all. And somehow, I have to get to the doctor today to get my stitches out.

Staying in the area for the holidays (actual, literal plural holidays, we celebrated the Solstice on Sunday, and it’s Day 2 of Hanukkah today, and Christmas eve/day), going to Peter’s mom’s for Christmas Eve and having my parents over on Christmas day. And of course, the New Year’s D&D party at my mom’s. :D

Waiting on my sister to finish her move from Dallas to Seattle. She had to switch to the 101 because Oregon weather is so ugly. And when she does get here, I have no idea how we will get the truck to her new apartment, 3 blocks up Queen Anne Avenue:(

So, as much as I’ve enjoyed the snow, I’m hoping it turns 40 and rains all night:)

I love it! People in Capitol Hill are borrowing sleds from neighbors, pushing strangers down hills (in a nice way), and sharing their air mattresses/flattened boxes/baking sheets! Finally, Seattle speaks!

I’m sorry to say that we’re doing Christmas here in NC and it is expected to be 73 degrees. It was 28 yesterday and by Christmas it will be 73, it’s making me crazy. Just pick a season and let me stick with it ok?

Seattle here also – not exactly housebound but neighborhood-bound. I might go out and see if anyone is sledding down Denny on plastic, that’s been the most fun I’ve had this whole time!

I am in Seattle, barely having survived a trip to the University District from Northgate and then back. A round trip that normally takes an hour took five. Not doing that again any time soon…

I’m gonna have a really tough vacation–we’re visiting my in-laws. In Hawaii. And they’re really sweet people to boot. Yep, it’s a tough job, but I’m up to it. :)

Oh, and to answer that, we are doing the first of two pack outs for our move to Korea*. Today’s is all of the stuff going to Korea, and then next Tuesday is all of the stuff going into storage for two years.

*Or, that is to say we would be doing this, if our movers hadn’t said they would be here about 0800 and now, and 1309 are still not here.

*grumbles*
