What are you all doing for the long weekend? And did anyone do anything fun for Valentine’s day?
I sat on my couch doing work until midnight. I am doing the same thing today, except sans couch and plus office. My big V-Day celebration included take-out Italian food and two glasses of wine. Yeehaw. At least I had fun sending around this ecard.
Anyone do anything more exciting and/or pathetic?
I lay in bed writing an essay and nursing the virus that’s going around campus. I think I win.
Long weekend? What is this thing of which you speak?
My partner and I don’t celebrate V-Day, but one of our favorite fancy restaurants had a special menu on the 14th so we got dressed up and hit that up even though we weren’t celebrating (we even toasted to “not celebrating V-Day”). It was absolutely divine :)
On Valentine’s Day I performed in the annual Burlesque For Peace show, an event that’s become something of a mini-institution here in Austin. I did a solo routine and was a supporting player in another performer’s routine. It was a huge amount of fun and we managed to raise a big chunk of change for Peace One Day.
I also got my girlfriend a little gift, some jersey boy briefs and a matching ribbed tank top from American Apparel. I found it an excellent way to spin the cliche “buy sexy lingerie/underwear for your girl” v-day thing by getting her something comfortable she’ll wear often (that just happens to look very sexy on her).
I spent valentine’s day fighting with my valentine. it was so sweet…=/
I worked on Valentine’s say as well. Very exciting. I took a group of teenage boys to a wrestling match and party, although I have to say I had a surprisingly good time. The husband was at work so I hung out with the kids and my little sister for most of the night.
