The Left’s Top 25 Journalists

Glad to see so many awesome new media types on this list, including the always-wonderful Rachel Maddow and Feministing founder Jessica Valenti. Less promising: Only 7 women on a list of 25. And I don’t know the racial background of everyone pictured, but on first glance (and from what I do know about a lot of the listed journos), there are even fewer people of color.

    As I pointed out at Lindsay’s, I don’t know how seriously you can take a ‘list of lefties’ that includes Fred Hiatt and omits Glenn Greenwald.

    I also agree with Lindsay’s point about the omission of Naomi Klein and Amy Goodman.

    Agreeing with ballgame; that was bizarre.

    I also loved how they put “transphobia” and “ableism” in quotes on Jessica Valenti’s profile.
