Hrm, maybe it’s just me, but that site seems to be mostly about Homophobia. The T from Transphobia is not even part of their abbreviation. In fact, the transphobia seems to be mentioned only as an afterthought there.

I don’t have time to read through the site, but what I have read only mentions transphobia in passing. That’s nothing new, though. Gay rights activists do have a tendency to ignore trans folk unless they can use them to carry extra weight or as cannon fodder in negotiations.

Somebody please correct me if I have the wrong impression of the site and the organization.

Heck, I almost entirely forgot about IDAHO. I’ve not heard about any activitie sin the Netherlands, unfortunately. Not that I would have participated, but it would’ve been good if this day got more attention around the world.

Thanks for this reminder, Chally – Halifax has an event planned at City Hall today and I had forgotten until I saw this post.

IDAHO may have been the worst abbreviation they could use. I can assure you my fellow Idahoans are not known for their tolerance and acceptance. Funny, but not funny at the same time!

I wrote a post for the IDAHAT (it’s funner to say! And also gets the “transphobia” included in the acronym, which is cool). So far that’s all I’ve done other than just living my life as the out & proud radical queer person I am. Which I mean, is also something.

The post’s kind of a mess, just to warn you. I was not in the best writing state today, but I felt it was important to say something.
