My home state does good.

Washington appeared almost certain to become the seventh state to allow same-sex marriage after the State Senate voted late Wednesday for a measure that would allow gay and lesbian couples to marry beginning this summer.

It’s good yeah, but there is still a long way to go for WA gays and lesbians to have full equal rights in practice. Here in the Netherlands, marriage equality has existed for over ten years, and now finally they’re requiring all civil service people to actually do gay marraiges.

    Wonderful.

(Change is slow – any progress toward equality is good.)
