Not too shabby for a blog mainly dedicated to hats.
Congrats!
Holy cats! Well, after nearly a decade of public blogging and (approximately) 4,775 posts later, it must be nice for even a right-leaning mag to recognise your good work. ;-)
Hahahaha Jezebel’s on the list
Congratulations!
I’m sorry that Shakesville isn’t on the list. It’s certainly belongs there as much as, if not more than, some of the other (handful of) feminist sites on the list.
So, let’s see, out of that list of 100, how many give any indication of being specifically intended for LGBT women? I think the answer is zero.
Specifically for women who aren’t white? Maybe one? two?
Not much.
Not that I’m surprised.
I’m glad to see Feministe on there, same with The Bloggess.
I would have liked to see Band Back Together there. Maybe next year. It’s not specifically for women, but neither is Pinterest.
CafeMom makes my teeth itch.
I have no problem with no Shakesville, but if Womanist Musings isn’t on there it should be.
Lot of mom-blogs. Not a bad thing, just an observation.
I’m glad to hear that. =]
To be honest, if it weren’t for this blog, among other things, I’d still mansplain frequently, act like a “nice guy”, and spew transphobic rhetoric. So I truly appreciate this blog. It’s changed me significantly.
Relax, Jill and friends. You really are that good.
Congrats!
Oh, I guess my comment is inappropriate since it’s named one of the best sites for women. ._. Whatever, it still stands.
I grew up on Feministe, Jill helped me to break into blogging, and indirectly this site even helped me to find love. (Long story!) This place definitely deserves mention in Forbes. :-)
Congratulations to Jill and Lauren.
It always feels great when hard work is recognized.
Good job, guys! You definitely deserve this :D
I love reading these comments! They give me references to other blogs to inhale now that I’m back I’m the US where women really can’t seem to get ahead… Especially the 40+ of any heritage. thanks!
Awesome! That is great news. Thank you so much for doing what you do; this site is such a welcome antidote to the pervasive “celebrity, sex, fashion for women” stuff out there. Carry on!
